Organismic: Too Much/Too Little is Contextual
When an organismic system raises an alert – this isn't safe, this hurts too much, this is damaging, this is too hot – that isn't just based on objective data like the actual temperature in the room or inside your skin. The too much/too little threshold includes belief systems (the placebo effect, the power of prayer, the needle in the voodoo doll), sensible history, exaggerated-out-of-proportion-stuck-history, your resilience, your expectations and other demands on your system. So again: negotiate, negotiate, negotiate. 'Do we freak out about this or not?' In systems theory, an answer to that question is more of an emergent property than command and control.
