Organismic: How Could This Go Wrong?

An organismic system can go wrong in a few basic ways:

how you gather the data – the hardware of your eyes or your proprioceptive nerves or your eardrums works less well;

how you weave the data together;

how you interpret that weaving (your system's idea of what's ok and what's not; and

how you react when you have maybe hit that threshold.

Data collection. Data integration. Assessment. Strategies and tactics.

All of this adds up to 'is this a learning system?' Does the feedback work? Have you learned from the past, or are you stuck in the past? Are you nimble? Do you have enough different ways to solve a problem, or do you mostly fall back on a few habits?

If your organism is a learning system, it has flex. Otherwise, it is stuck. And there are plenty of ways it could go ‘wrong.’
